The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here's an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 510,000 times in 2014. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 22 days for that many people to see it.
Happy New Year 2015 Everyone. Wishing you all the best!
If you hover your mouse slowly over the world map, shown in the 2014 in Review, in the section titled Where did they Come From?, you will see how many articles were read by people in the different countries in 2014. It is really interesting how WordPress can keep track of every little detail of what happens on all of the blogs people write.
Happy New Year to you, Fred! I actually used your light hanging tips on the little tree I put up this year. I’m glad to see your continued success and can’t wait to see what new posts you have this year. I’d love to see more on your garden, perhaps showing how you propagate your plants. Do you have any sort of greenhouse? I’m focusing on my exterior this year and need all the tips I can get! Teresa
Hi there Teresa, my number one commenter as shown in the 2014 in review. I have pictures of the July garden that I never had time to share, so for my first post for 2015, I’m thinking of giving my readers a look at things to come. I don’t have a green house, but if I had the space and everything about Whimsey Hill House were finished exactly as I would like it to be, I possibly would have one. I was quite surprised to have over a half million articles read in 2014, as things took my time away from the blog. WordPress says I had about five hundred ten thousand read posts for 2014, but the real number, as of 12:01 AM on January first 2015, for 2014 was 516,067.
Thank you Fred! As a visual learner, I have learned so much from your site. I am very much enjoying your articles. I reside in Brooklyn where the homes here are just “enough”. I have always dreamt of having a mantle in my living room (12×20). The room has 2 points of entry and a big window in front. I’d like to know if there is an article that I can refer to which will address how to arrange than furniture to make it equal. My chocolates are not equal and I am at a stand still. Thanks Fred!
Hi there Deevento, have you seen my post Arranging Furniture in a 12 foot wide by 24 foot long Living Room, that post will help you, and there will be companion posts at the end of that article to further get you thinking about arranging furniture.
